The importance of taking a break. I’m off.

As Seen In...

[tweetmeme]Tomorrow I jet off for a well earned break. My first since starting Red Cube (over 2 years .. I know, ouch). For a few weeks I was wondering what to do while I was away. Should I write a selection of posts and schedule them to publish while I’m away? Should I line up some tweets and schedule those? As much as I’m an advocate of scheduling tweets through Hootsuite, I still place greater importance on engagement, and how can I respond to replies and comments or engage with you whilst I’m offline?

I also believe that unplugging, taking yourself out of your usual space and giving yourself a proper break is hugely important and extremely healthy. It allows the body to relax, the mind to calm and the stress to dissolve. All of which have a positive impact on creativity and productivity.

So my friends, I shall be unplugging completely from tomorrow afternoon and will return on the 10th August, when I shall be refreshed and ready to go. That does mean a break in the social media strategy series, but I will pick that back up with gusto on my return.

Until then, I bid you adieu.
