Seven Figure Females With Sigrun
In this episode of the pod, I’m joined by Sigrun to talk about overcoming resistance, money mindset and the essential elements for growing an effective team on the path to 7-figures.
I love this conversation for how it reinforces the importance of who you choose for your 7-figure team. Even with a decade of experience in business, Sigrun talks candidly about the struggles and successes of her own journey. Listen in for some real insight and motivation.
7-Figure Females is a mini-series on The Simply Smart Business Show where I set out to bust some myths around creating a 7-figure business as a female business owner, understand what it truly takes to get there, and inspire you to aim high.

Takeaways from this show:
- Sharing your goals publicly makes you accountable for achieving them. Sigrun went as far as emailing her audience to say she was going to make a million dollars that year, even though it was a big jump from her existing revenue of $340K.
- Lean into your resistance, e.g. around building a team. Could you be trying to prove that you can do it all alone? Is that really serving you?
- If you want to create a signature programme, look back at the content you’ve already created e.g. webinars. Can you repurpose and repackage into a course or programme that’s unique to you?
- With launches, less can sometimes be more. Doing more launches will not necessarily lead to better results.
- Consider internal as well as external funnels, i.e. retaining existing clients and moving them through higher and higher level programmes.
- Hire coaches who have been clients of yours to support your programmes means there is a shared language and trust already present.
- When thinking about hiring: A content writer knows how to blog, but not necessarily how to sell. A copywriter is someone who can write copy that sells, including sales pages, landing pages and sales emails.
- Running a 7 figure business is all about who you work with and getting to do more of what you love and less of what you don’t.
- To scale from 6 to 7 figures, you have to be willing to move from a task-based role to a manager role, creating a management structure of very qualified people to take over for you.
- In crisis mode, daily meetings and quick turnarounds are needed. But this way of working isn’t sustainable long-term so be aware of your team’s needs.
- A negative money mindset can keep you from achieving your goals. Simple shifts such as following up on your offers can make a huge difference.
- If you don’t like a fixed morning routine ditch it for a fluid working style that plays to your personality. You might consider batching your days, e.g. Monday for internal meetings, Tuesday for clients, Wednesday for podcast or video recording and Thursday and Friday kept free.
- Sigrun’s main advice: hire people with the best attitude to help you grow. Let go of the day-to-day tasks and trust that they can do it better than you.

More on Sigrun here:
Originally from Reykjavik, Iceland, she has spent more than half her life outside her home country; in Germany, United Kingdom, and Switzerland.
Since she was a young girl she’s always been drawn to leadership roles, so despite having zero business background nor the education she made a life-changing phone call and asked to become the CEO of a software company shortly after finishing her master’s degree in architecture – and she got the job!
Ten years, another three master’s degrees, and several CEO roles later, Sigrun found herself in Switzerland with her newfound love but sick and unemployable. Her dream was to be location independent so she could spend time in Iceland and Switzerland, travel the world, and take care of her health. So in 2014, Sigrun started her online business and within 4 years she built a 7 figure business helping women from all over the world. Her signature program is SOMBA, Sigrun’s Online MBA, and her other programs are SOMBA Momentum, a group coaching program, VIP Mastermind, a mastermind program, and the Red Circle, the first million dollar mastermind for female entrepreneurs in Europe.
Sigrun’s motto is: Be Inspired. Think Big. Take Action.Find out more here: https://www.sigrun.com/
