7-Figure Females – Julie Parker
If you’ve been listening to the pod for a while you’ll know I’m all for having frank and open discussions about what it really takes to build a successful business. I want you to get the real stuff behind what you might see online.
Which is why I created a brand new mini-series on The Simply Smart Business Show called 7-Figure Females, where I set out to bust some myths around creating a 7-figure business as a female business owner, understand what it truly takes to get there, and inspire you to aim high.
In this episode I’m speaking to Julie Parker, CEO & Founder of The Beautiful You Coaching Academy, who shares with us her seven-figure journey and how she’s doubled down, stayed in her lane, and truly invested in her team to get herself to seven figures plus. Listen in, it’s a goodun.

Takeaways from this show:
- Spend time getting your mindset into a place where you believe that all the time, effort and money invested will be worth it, even if your expansion plans flop. Back yourself 100%.
- Scaling to 7 figures requires spending on support and assistance at different levels in your business (probably more than you are comfortable with).
- Let the reins go. Instead of dealing with little things that you don’t need to, create the space for you to become a bigger visionary.
- Pay attention to your profit. There’s not a lot of point in reaching a particular financial milestone if you’re spending more than you make.
- Hire at a really high level. The temptation is to get in people that are junior and less experienced because it’s cheaper. Don’t. You want loyal employees, not just contractors, who are as passionate about your business as you are.
- Stay ahead of the curve with developments online by testing out what works for your business, rather than jumping on every new trend (we’re looking at you TikTok). Then you don’t end up spending money you don’t need to.
- Think about growing via a mix of employees and contractors. Employees come with safety, security and a deeper level of connection, while some roles are more suited to contractors.
- Test, test, test! Maybe a big social media challenge leading into a launch will work for you, but trends change, so remain open to what is required as the online world shifts.
- Even getting to 7-figures doesn’t mean you’re exempt from the risks of your business running you instead of you running your business. Step back and step up your self-care to regain perspective.
- Commit to consistently looking after your employees and contractors like the queens and kings they are. It instils loyalty, connection and a deep desire for them to want to see your success just as much as their own.
- Commit to showing up visually in your business. The decision people make around choosing to work with someone is about the connection they feel to you. So show them who you are and make the decision easy for them.
- Commit to consistently bringing your business values to life in everything you do. Don’t make the mistake of trying to be what you think other people want. Be unashamedly you so the right people can find you.
- Find your lane and stay in it. Just because your competitors have a successful low-cost option doesn’t mean you need to. Find the thing that works for you – even if that means the only thing you offer is a high-ticket year-long programme. Commit to what works and forget the rest.
- It’s not about what you earn, it’s about how you manage what you earn and then how you allow it to positively impact your life.
