Merging offline and online : two events we’re speaking at

[tweetmeme]There are two industry events coming up next month that I’m involved in.

The first is EMAP’s Construction Marketing. This is a two day event, the first is a workshop and the second is the conference. I’ll be speaking at the workshop on the 3rd February, where I’ll be giving advice on blogging in the aptly named ‘Making Your Mark on the Blogosphere’ session. The details are here:

  • The bigger picture: integrating with other activities
  • Developing a culture of blogging in your firm
• Helping your staff understand the role blogging can play in promoting the firm
• Identifying potential star bloggers

• What results can you expect?

The second is a half day Social Media Workshop I’m running with the DBA (for members only I’m afraid) on the 16th February. This follows the social media breakfast briefing I gave with the DBA before Christmas, which was attending by around 50 design companies, many of which were eager to learn more. So this session covers is the ‘how to do it’ part and includes:

• What is social media is and what it can do for your business?
• Understand how to develop a social media strategy and implement a measurement system
• Think about who should be involved internally
• Grasp how to set up profiles, get started and manage your social media activity going forward
• Learn about the tools and applications that make using it so much easier
