How to promote your crowdfunding campaign

I was recently involved in a workshop for SME’s on preparing for a crowdfunding round. My talk focused on creating the right buzz for the campaign using my four step process. The video of my talk is below and is perfect for those startups and entrepreneurs that have no budget to invest in a marketing professional, and need to create an effective promotional campaign themselves.

 

After creating the social media strategy for new crowdfunding platform, Crowdshed, and working with a number of their clients to create online buzz and drive funding, I’ve learnt what works and what doesn’t, and I used this to formulate my four step process:

  1. Define
  2. Develop
  3. Deliver
  4. Digest

What I found was that many businesses focused far too much on the delivery, which tended to be ineffective because they didn’t spend the time upfront defining and developing their plan. This video takes you through these stages to help you understand what needs to be done to create a results drive campaign that can make the difference between fully-funded and failed.
