If any of you have seen my 5-year case study, you’ll know it took a few years before I actually invested in myself.
Not because I thought I was good enough already (good lord, far from it).
But because I didn’t think I was worth it.
I knew my biggest issues were mindset-based. But still, it took me a few years before I realised the only way to improve was to invest in help.
And man, what a scary investment that was.
Since then I’ve invested in business coaches, masterminds, courses (probably too many) and programs to help me deal with my weak spots.
And I realised that my growth, both personal and business, would have happened much, much sooner had I taken that leap of faith and invested in ME from the get-go.
But it’s scary, right?
First, you don’t think you’re worth it.
Then you worry that the person is all talk and won’t deliver.
Then you don’t trust yourself to actually do the work.
Then, then, then, then…
It’s a vicious, vicious cycle.
But once I made that initial investment, I realised the only person I was hurting by not pouring my resources back into myself, was me.
So to ensure my growth, to ensure I keep transforming into the great woman I know I’m meant to be, I keep investing.
Every. Single. Year.
I spend time identifying my weakest points. The things that just didn’t go well for me. The patterns or habits that seem to hold me back.
And then I prioritise these, based on which are holding up the growth of my business the most.
And then I do my research to find the best solution there is.
It could be as simple as a book, but to be honest, I’m super impatient so for me, it tends to be investing in a coach, mastermind or specialist program to solve the problem. And then I complete it (this is key – so many people don’t complete!).
I do this every year now, and I’ve never looked back.
So if you’re struggling, if you know you have weak points, take some time here. Identify the key things that are holding you back, and then think about what or who the solution to that could be.
And then, my friends, GO FOR IT!!
